An estimated 18 million acres of forest are DESTROYED each year. We need your help to plant trees and combat the loss worldwide.
Trees are essential for life on Earth. They combat climate change, provide oxygen to breathe, regulate temperature through shade and wind breaks, clean the air, water, and soil, help prevent soil erosion, and provide food and shelter. Yet humans are destroying an estimated 18 million acres of forest each year, the equivalent of about 36 football fields of trees lost every minute. (Sources: National Geographic, UN-FAO, WWF)
For just $1, you can plant 1 tree where it is most needed!
GreaterGood.org has partnered with several organizations to plant trees where they are most needed throughout the world, but we can't do it without your help!
Report from the Field
In 2017, YOU planted about (1) 5,000 trees for monarch butterflies during their migration through Mexico; (2) 800 trees to create green space in degraded urban areas; and (3) 160 trees to counteract climate change and wildlife extinction in Malawi, Africa. Together, we can plant even more trees in 2018.
